The church of Aukra is an octagonal church dating from 1835. The building was erected to replace a burnt-out 'cruciform church'. It was completed in March 1836 and the work was supervised by Ole Eriksen from Ørskog. The building was covered with slate in 1892.

The wood used for the construction of the church in Aulstad in 1864 came from the old church in Svatsum, which was built in 1726 but demolished in 1860. The interior of the church is rather well preserved from the time of construction. The altarpiece dates from 1768 and was carved by Eistein Guttormsson Kjörnn.

Aunt Old Church is a stone church from the first half of the 12th century. The church is relatively small and has vessels with a longer and narrower chancel in the east. In 1874, a new church was built on the site and the old Moster church was to be demolished, but the Society for the Preservation of Ancient Norwegian Monuments bought the church, and with the help of the architect Peter Blix, the church was restored in 1896. A porch was built in front of the west portal and the sacristy in front of the choir portal was demolished. At the same time, the old tiled roof was replaced by a slate roof.

Aurdal church was completed in 1737 by the architect S.Trådset. The interior has undergone modifications over the years, among others, new pews were installed in 1892-93, the cross-section was removed and the colours were changed.

The church of Aure is a cruciform church built in 1924 on a site where churches have been built since the 10th century. The old Stave church in Stave church, which dates back to the Middle Ages, was demolished in 1726. The next church was a wooden cross church which was consecrated in 1727. On 21 January 1923, the church burnt down after a thunderbolt. The architect of the new church was Nils Ryjord, who had been associated with Nidaros Cathedral.

The church of Aurland, or Vangen church, is a long church dating from 1202. It is the largest of the seven stone churches in Sogn og Fjordane. The church has a beautiful hexagonal pulpit dating from the early 17th century. From the 17th century, the church also has an altarpiece, portraits of priests and two epitaphs. Much of the furniture comes from the 1926 restoration.

The church in Aurskog is a wooden church designed by Otto Schønheyder and built by the builder Günther Schüssler in 1881, but it was not consecrated until 2 June the following year. The cemetery is on the other side of the road and has a burial chapel built in 1964.

Austad Church is a cross church built in 1803. A few years ago it was discovered that the oak timber used for the construction of the church originated from a stave church that was built in the late 12th century.
