San Sebastián de La Gomera, ES

Catholic church featuring stone archways, a bell tower and an art-filled sanctuary. The nave was built in the 15th century. The temple blends Mudejar, Gothic and Baroque styles. The façade has a central body of the main entrance in red tuff and two side doorways in white marble. The main restoration of the building was in the second half of the 18th century.

The monastery church of the Mother of God in Jihlava was founded by the Czech King Premysl Otakar I in 1221 for the Order of the Minorite of St. Francis of Assisi and was originally built in the Romanesque style. After the great fire in Jihlava in 1353, rebuilt in the Gothic style and consecrated in 1355. The presbytery of the chancel was completed around 1500, the church choir above the church hall dates from 1756. The whole stone tower (there are only two in Moravia) rests on four columns in the middle of the church. . The oldest frescoes are from the 13th century, others from the 14th century, the last around 1500. The main altar from 1744 is the work of Ondrej Zonner, the painting on the main altar of the Assumption of the Virgin Mary was painted by J. Edgons.

The Church of the Assumption of Mary is a place of pilgrimage. Information on the existence of the church and the parish dates back to 1208, but the year 1275 is recorded as the beginning of the construction of the present church. Later, in the 14th or 15th century, a Gothic presbytery was added and connected to the nave. Originally, the church had a flat ceiling, which in 1660 was replaced by a vaulted and painted ceiling. In 1690 the church had a wooden tower. The present 35 m high bell tower was added in 1729. A major repair of the church was carried out in 1781.

The Church of the Assumption of Mary or "Mary on the Lake" dates from the 12th century. Located on Bled Island, it is a renowned pilgrimage center and a popular tourist attraction. On an old wooden building (probably religious), a stone construction was erected and lasted unscathed until an earthquake in 1511. The church was heavily restored in the 17th century, conferring its baroque style.

The church dates from the 18th century. It is of baroque style and medieval origin. Inside one finds three naves with side chapels. Those on the right dedicated to St. Roque and the Our Lady of Mount Carmel , the next to St. Pancracio and the Our Lady of the Rosary, then St. Cristóbal (patron saint of Alboraya) and St. Cucufate or Cucufato , followed by St. Francis of Assisi, and on the transept the Holy Christ of Providence, with the images of the Virgin and Saint John.

The Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary and Archangel Michael is one of the oldest wooden churches in the south of Małopolska. Initially built in the 15th century, it was completely renovated and enlarged in the 17th century (bell tower, arcades, defensive rampart) after a devastating Tatar invasion. Abandoned after the Second World War, the building was restored in the 1980s and consecrated again in 2000.

The Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary dates back to 1443, marking the beginning of its lasting construction. The facade of the church, with its rich rose windows, echoes the Romano-Gothic outlines of the seat of the college in the old town. The church has five marble altars installed in the 18th and 19th centuries.
