Kumla, SE

Kumla church is located right next to the old main road through Nurke, which was also the king's eriksgata. Just southeast of the church, in a small depression on the slope, is what is usually called Franzen's cave. Here is a memorial stone since 1946 for the psalm poet Frans Michael Franzen who was pastor in Kumla 1812-1825.

The congregation has its background in the revival movement that emerged in Sweden during the second half of the 19th century. Then both a Baptist Church and a Mission Church were formed in Skollersta. The Baptist Church had its activities in Testa Chapel and the Mission Church in Kuvesta Mission House. In the early 1970's, the community between the congregations deepened in various ways. This led to the building of a common church in Skollersta community in 1976, which at that time grew through extensive residential development. The church was named Larslundskyrkan after a previous farm name nearby.

Medieval church that has come to be called urNurke's cathedral "as it is as big as a small cathedral, but built in the countryside. The church was built in the Gothic style during the 13th and 14th centuries. Inside the church there is a beautiful interior - rows of pillars in three ships. The church contains several older objects, such as statues of Mary, baptismal fonts, unique stained glass windows and many medieval fixtures.The pulpit from 1592, is one of the oldest in Nurke.The church's maximum number of visitors is 300.

As early as 1990, Askers Baptist Church's involvement in Latvia began. After Latvia's liberation from the then Soviet Union, an ecumenical group was formed in Osternurke where Askers Bf was represented by the Mission Council. Other parishes were the Church of Sweden in Asker and Lunnus, Lunnus Free Church, Betania parish Odensbacken and Kilsmo mission parish. One of the first contacts made in Latvia was with Pastor Janis Pallo. This collaboration has continued over the years and we still have close contact with Pastor Janis and his wife Zigrida.

Vustra Vingaker's church was built during the Middle Ages, around the year 1300. Of the original medieval church, however, not much remains. The emissary church has today is more reminiscent of the great power era's 17th century when i.a. the choir and the altarpiece came into being. However, the church got its current appearance in connection with the major renovation that was completed in 1783 when i.a. the cross arms and the sacristy were built. The last major change to the church's exterior that was made was in 1885 when the tower hood was added.

Nuvertorps kyrka

Nuvertorp Church is a young church. Worship was first celebrated on February 20, 1966, and the church was inaugurated on May 15 of that year. At Nuvertorp's church there is a carillon from the same year as the church. On the gables of the church there is a cross to the west and to the east a Christ monogram. The church windows are small but beautiful and have stained glass windows.

Nordana Chapel with crematorium was built in 1939 and inaugurated in 1940. It was used until 1980 when the Forest Chapel was completed. Now, every Halloween weekend, you have a moment of remembrance with choir singing on a couple of occasions.

Sandbucksgarden

On Sunday, September 3, 1972, Sandbucksgarden was consecrated by the then bishop Ake Kastlund. The ceremony began with a mass in the church in the north and afterwards buses went from the church square to Sandbucksgarden. Speeches were given by the chairman of the church council Eric Kjellstrom and the pastor Carl Strandberg. The chairman of the church council at this time was Sixten Wahlin. The bishop declared the court inaugurated and the church choir under the direction of Rune Jansson sang before it was time for church coffee.
