Onze Lieve Vrouw ten Hemelopneming

Onze Lieve Vrouw ten Hemelopneming

Apeldoorn, NL

Our Lady of the Assumption, consecrated 1885, Alfred Tepe. Three-aisled neo-Gothic cruciform basilica with octagonal crossing tower and external design with motifs derived from Romanesque: lesenes, arched friezes and small round upper windows. The crossing tower and the use of Romanesque motifs make this church an exceptional work in Tepe's oeuvre.

Onze Lieve Vrouw ten Hemelopneming

Grubbenvorst, NL

Built to replace the Roman Catholic parish church in Grubbenvorst that was destroyed in 1944. Inaugurated in 1952. Characteristic late work in the oeuvre of Maastricht architect Alphons Boosten (1893-1951). Tower completed in 1955.

Onze Lieve Vrouw ten Hemelopneming

Renkum, NL

This church replaced the previous church from 1838. Three-aisled basilica cruciform church without tower, in light expressionist forms. Sober work in the later oeuvre of Joseph Cuypers (1861 - 1949). Due to the lack of a real tower, this beautiful church is not noticeable enough. The Church of Our Lady of the Assumption on the Utrechtseweg is on the list to be closed. When the Cuypersgenootschap Foundation discovered that the church was not a municipal monument, it asked the board to grant the church the municipal monument status.

Onze Lieve Vrouw ten Hemelopneming

Einighausen, NL

Charming neo-Romanesque church with double tower front. In 1905 the older church from 1840 was demolished and the new one built. This church served as an example for the St. Gertrudiskerk in Maarheeze.

Onze Lieve Vrouw ten Hemelopneming

Beltrum, NL

The current parish church of Our Lady of the Assumption of Mary in Beltrum was built after a period of renovations and expansions. At the beginning of the nineteenth century, a water board church stood here, which was expanded in 1862-1864 to a design by HJ Wennekers. In 1894, the church was again renovated by WVA Tepe; that is when the current neo-Gothic tower was built. The last major expansion took place in 1929-'30 under the direction of architect GAP de Kort. On the site of the former nave, the current nave and transept were built under slight influence of the brick expressionism of the 1920s.

Onze Lieve Vrouw ten Hemelopneming

Huissen, NL

Large reconstruction church with a large tower. Immediately after the destruction of the medieval parish church on 13/14 May 1943, plans were made to rebuild the church. Ir. GM Leeuwenberg designed a basilica-shaped nave in the style of the Delft School, inspired by the Romanesque architectural style, built in 1949-1950. The tower was built in 1961-1962 on the foundations of the predecessor. The church was also expanded at that time. The carillon was installed in 1965. Two chapels were set up next to the tower: that of Our Lady of Perpetual Help and the Gildenkapel, completed in 1971. The tower was restored in 1981 and 1997. Several authentic objects from the pre-war church can still be seen in the interior. Pulpit from 1656, originating from the old church .
