Arnaudi Mosque, Rogatica
The Arnaudi Mosque (Dzamija Rogatica) is located in the center of Rogatica , on the right bank of the river Rakitnica.
About this building
The date of construction is not clear, but it is assumed that it was built together with the mahal between 1529 and 1558. The founder of the mosque was Husein-bey Arnautović. The mosque's appearance changed considerably in after the restoration of 1938. The mosque was burned down twice during the 20th century, the first during the Second World War (1939-1945), and the second during the War in Bosnia & Herzegovina (1992-1995).
