Convent of Nuestra Señora de la Salceda
According to tradition, the origin of this convent is to be found in an apparition of the Virgin to two Knights Hospitaller who had taken refuge under a willow tree during a storm. This was followed by the construction of a chapel and the subsequent establishment of the monastic house.
About this building
In 1408, the convent was created. During the 16th and 17th centuries, it was expanded. After the confiscation, abandoned by the Franciscan community, the place was looted, losing most of its assets, while the buildings were turned into a quarry, now there are only a few ruins.
