Hervormde Kerk

In 1678 rebuilt church from old material; framed entrance on the north side with stone inscription concerning the construction. In the church simple pulpit XVIII, four 17th century gravestones, two text boards as in Aalsum. Single manual organ, made in 1818 by JA Hillebrand. The 13th century clock has been transferred to the Friesch Museum in Leeuwarden. Mechanical wrought iron tower clock, has been decommissioned.

Doarpstsjerke

Reformed Church and tower. On the site of a medieval church, built in 1776, a small church with built-in tower. In the church pulpit and lord's pew, 18th century; two large tombstones, one by Mr. BG 16th century and one 17th century; pews with copper candlesticks 18th century, Bergsma funeral case 1793. Organ with main work and back work, made in 1819 for the Reformed Church in Spannum by Jan Radersma (died 1816) and his son Pieter. Placed in Metslawier in 1913, where the back work was changed into an upper work. During the last restoration in 1985, the back work case was reconstructed. Bell tower with bell by P. Overney, 1711, diam. 100 cm. This church is listed as a National Monument of the Netherlands.

Rehobothkerk

From 1888 to 1952, the Reformed Church of Metslawier had a partnership with the Reformed Church of Niawier regarding religious services and a joint minister. On April 11, 2010, the Reformed Congregations and the Reformed Churches of Metslawier and Nijawier officially merged into: Protestant Congregation Metslawier-Niawier.

Sint Ceciliatsjerke

Large Gothic church in two periods, built at a large 13th century brick tower, completely closed at the bottom. In the church pulpit with baptismal fence, lectern and ornamental vases, baptismal font arm; two lord's pews, three copper crowns. Original organ with a keyboard, made in 1813-1814 by JA Hillebrand. In 1831 extended with a Lower Positive by W. van Gruisen. Bell tower with bell by Gebr. van Bergen, 1909, diam. 108 cm. BECAUSE of the original inscription and coats of arms of the recast bell by J. Balthasar, 1668. Mechanical wrought iron tower clock, has been decommissioned. This church is listed as a National Monument of the Netherlands.
