Iglesia de San Antón

The church of San Antón is a Gothic catholic church of the late fifteenth century. Listed monument, it is a symbol of Bilbao to the point of appearing on its coat of arms.

Bilbao Cathedral

Bilbao Cathedral probably dates from before the city was founded around 1300 when Bilbao was just a fishing village. The current building of the cathedral was constructed from the end of the 14th century until the 19th century. The cathedral is dedicated to Santiago as it is located on one of the pilgrimage routes to Santiago de Compostela. It obtained the title of Minor Basilica in 1819, before becoming the cathedral of the Diocese of Bilbao in 1950.

Iglesia de los Santos Juanes

The Santos Juanes church is a 17th century Baroque style church. Until the 18th century was the church of San Andrés College, ruled by the Jesuits. The building is a listed heritage since 1984.

Iglesia de San Nicolás

The church of San Nicolás is a baroque Catholic church first founded in 1490. After a flooding that completely demolished the church, a new building, visible today, was built in 1756.
