The Roman Catholic Carmelite Church was built between 1690 and 1726 in place of an older church. The model of this church was the Vienna Josefskirche.
The old Roman Catholic cathedral was built from 1669 to 1678. From 1785 to 1909, it was the episcopal church of the Diocese of Linz after the expulsion of the Jesuits.
The Pöstlingbergkirche is an 18th century Baroque church located at the top of Pöstlingberg and a pilgrimage site. The pilgrims come to see a wooden figure of Mary lodged in the church.
