The Nissedal church is a wooden church built in 1764 by the architect H.P.Thorne. It is believed that a medieval church once existed on the site.

The Tørdal church was built in 1809 by the builder Kittil Johnsen. The church was rebuilt during a major renovation in 1910. In its external shape, the church is quite similar to the main church of Prestestranda. The interior was restored in 1959 according to Finn Krafft's plans.
Treungen Church is a long church consecrated in 1863, the third church in the town, but the two previous churches were higher up the hill to the east of Tveitsund. In the 1960s it was extensively restored, and the sacristy on the south side of the chancel dates from 1863.
The present church of Vrådal, built in 1887, is the third church of the village. The two previous churches were about 4 kilometres further east, where the old cemetery can still be seen. The first church, a stave church, was replaced by an octagonal wooden church in 1685 (consecrated in 1686). It is said to be the first octagonal church in the country, but it was demolished in 1888 after the new church was used.
