Church built on the initiative of Anne de Beaujeu, daughter of Louis XI, regent of the kingdom and viscountess of Carlat. The construction is undertaken from 1503 to 1522.

About this building

The plan of the building has not been modified since its origin. It has a nave with two unequal bays, extended by a straight choir and a pentagonal apse. Two chapels open on either side of the central bay.

The 16th century oratory is found in the old cemetery of the Notre-Dame de Carlat church. This pavilion, with a wooden roof covered with a lauze roof, is supported by four pillars. It houses a 19th century altar supporting a cross representing, on the one hand, Christ surrounded by the Virgin and Saint John, and on the other hand, the Virgin holding the body of his son and the tombs of two pastors who died XIXth century.
