Church of Holmlia

The church of Holmlia was built in 1992-93 and was designed by Hille Melbye Architects by Harald Hille. The altar is made of marble and the altarpiece is a work by Per Odd Aarrestad. Aarrestad also stands behind the church's stained glass windows.

Through large windows, you can see the pine forest outside. Natural rock is present and embedded in the ground inside. The wooden altarpiece is made by Gunnar Torvund. In 2003, the Norwegian Steel Construction Award was presented to Mortensrud Church.
