The Synagogue in Reading was built in 1900-01 by architect William G. Lewton. This brick building in the Neo-Moorish style still serves as a synagogue.

Dating from 1724 when the almshouses forming the three sided courtyard, with St Bartholomew's chapel in the centre, were founded, along with a small hospital building.
The church of St Mary the Virgin is located in the heart of the large village of Wargrave on Thames, and is beautifully situated beside Mill Green. It is the oldest (parts dating back to the 12th century) and biggest of the three churches in the parish.
St Mary's church has the privilege of nestling close to one the loveliest stretches of the River Thames.
