The old church of Bø is a medieval stone church, built between 1150 and 1180, with a long church plan and a choir to the east. The nave, the choir and the semicircular end of the choir, the apse, are both from the Middle Ages, while the porch was built in the 17th century and the bridle roof in the early 19th century. After the Reformation, the interior of the church was rebuilt, with a gallery along the north and west walls, a pulpit and a new altarpiece, all in Renaissance style.
