The church in Helle was designed by the architect Morten Lunøe and built in two stages: first between 1981 and 1986, then in 1994.

Kragerø's church, which was inaugurated in 1870, replaced the town's first church from 1652. The new church in Kragerø is a neo-gothic church made of unpainted bricks designed by Georg Andreas Bull and consecrated in 1870. The altarpiece is a copy of "Christ on the Cross" by the Italian Baroque painter Guido Reni.
The Sannidale church is a wooden cross-shaped church built in 1771. In 1766, Jakob Matssøn Lund was appointed parish priest of Kragerø and Sannidal, and he is credited with the construction of the church. Jakob M. Lund was originally from Trøndelag, and in addition to theology, he had studied medicine and anatomy. He was the first to practice smallpox vaccination in Norway.
Skåtøy church, from 1862, is made of timber and is among the country's largest wooden churches. The architects of the church are Heinrich Ernst Schirmer and Wilhelm von Hanno, the altarpiece was painted by Julie Gjessing.
