The Synagogue in Písek is an Ashkenazi synagogue completed in 1872, rebuilt after 2005. In use until WWII, this Orientalist brick synagogue now serves as a cultural centre.

The Church of the Nativity of the Virgin Mary was founded in the 13th century, perhaps already around 1240. The tallest tower, with an onion dome, is a 16th-century reconstruction after the original tower was struck by lightning.
The Church of the Elevation of the Holy Cross was probably founded in the 13th century with a Dominican monastery. In 1419, the monastery was burned down by the Hussites and was not restored until 1621 with the return of Catholics to the region.
The New Synagogue in Vodňany is an Ashkenazi synagogue built between 1837 and 1852. The synagogue was rebuilt in 1956. In use until WWII, this Neo-Classical brick synagogue now serves as an museum.
