Church of St. Michael the Archangel, Pobedim

Michael the Archangel belongs to the sacral buildings of the fortress character. It was fortified with a wall, originally perhaps a wooden palisade, corner bastions and a tower-like entrance gate. Between the fortification and the church there was a cemetery, while after 1688 the south-western bastion was used as a carnery.

Trnava Cathedral

The Cathedral of St. John the Baptist is the first purely Baroque building in Slovakia. It was part of a group of university buildings. The donor of the church, the Palatine Nicholas Esterházy, entrusted the construction of the church to the Italian master Antonio and Pietro Spazzi in 1629. The church, still unfinished, was consecrated in 1637.
