The Åknes Chapel is a wooden chapel dating from 1873. It was built in a rectangular form according to the plans of architects Tobias Flottorp and Gard Ekså.

Ljosland chapel is a wooden building completed in 1959. The architect of the chapel is Olav Erikstad.
Åseral church is a wooden church built in 1822. The building, with a cross plan, was probably designed by architects Olav O.Aasland, Olav Bakken and Bernt Aslaks.
The church in Bygland was built in 1838. The altarpiece is by Lars Olav Stedjan from Bjelland. In 1925 the church acquired a Hollenbach organ from the church in Tolga.
