The church in Ålesund was built in stone from 1905. Nordmøre stone was chosen as the material for the church because Ålesund had just suffered a fire in 1904. Frescoes and stained glass by Enevold Thømt.

The Volsdalen Church is a church built in 1974. The architect of the church, Leif Olav Moen, wanted to give it the appearance of a boathouse. The church in Volsdalen is decorated with stained glass windows and an altarpiece by Frans Widerberg.
Valderøy Church is a long church dating from 1961. The altarpiece is by Finn Emanuel Olsen. The font and pulpit are both made of wood and date from 1961.
Borgund's church was built in the 13th century with an elongated nave and a narrower square choir. In the 17th century, the church was extended with a crossbeam to the north, and a porch on the south side of the nave with a burial chamber under the floor. In 1868-68, a new transverse arm was built to the south. In 1904 the church was burnt down and only the walls remained. The church was rebuilt using the old walls.
