Alversund Church

The Alversund church is a long wooden church from 1879, designed by the architect Jon Jonsen Alvær. The old church was still standing when the present church was built and it remained standing for a few years before it was sold at auction. In 1979 the church was renovated.

The Knarvik church is a wooden church completed in 2014 by Reiulf Ramstad Architects. The exterior of the building features the sharply raised spire roofs, the church sanctuary and the chapel.

The Meland church is a long wooden church dating from 1866. It was designed by Johannes Arnesson Øvsthus and erected under the direction of the builder Askild Aase. The church of Meland is the only church in the municipality.

Seim Church

The Seim church is a wooden "long church" built in 1878. The architect of the church was Johannes Øvsthus. Seim has had a church since the Middle Ages, the first mention of a church on this spot dates back to around 1360. This church was most probably a stave church which was replaced by a wooden church in the 17th century, later destroyed to make way for the present church.
