The Abbey was built in the 12th century, and additions were made little by little between the 13th and 17th centuries.

Latin cross plan building with projecting transept. It rises on two levels of elevation. The western façade is pierced by a portal surmounted by a tympanum and flanked by two narrow towers.

The building is essentially dated to the 12th and 13th centuries, which saw the nave, the choir, then the transept and the lantern tower. A fire led to the reconstruction of the bell tower. In the 19th century, the vaults were reworked.

Church entirely rebuilt in 1358 following a fire. Enlarged in the 15th century, it was in the 16th century that it really adopted its current appearance.
