Andørja Church

Andørja church is a wooden church built in 1913-14. Before this church was built, the people of Andørja used to go to the church in Ibestad by a dangerous road, hence the necessity to build a church in the village.

Sandsøy Church was built in 1888 and designed by architect Ole Scheistrøen. The previous church in Sandsøya was built in 1765 and moved to Bjarkøya in 1886. Part of the interior of the old church was later returned to Sandsøya, and is now in the present church.

Dyrøy church is a long church from 1880. The architect for the church was Håkon Adelstein Mosling. The building was restored on the outside and extended in 1998.
