Canònica de Santa Maria de Vilabertran

The church of Saint Peter is a Romanesque church first mentioned in 1020. In the 14th century, a Gothic reconstruction was carried out. The façade was built in 1578, with a large porthole that gives light to the entire nave. During the Spanish Civil War, the church suffered considerable destruction and had to be rebuilt between 1941 and 1948. It was in this church that Salvador Dalí was baptised and received his First Communion, and where his funeral took place.

The origin of the Monastery of Sant Pere de Rodes is a mystery, with the oldest preserved remains dating back to the Roman period and the oldest monastic remains dating back to the 8th century. Despite being partially in ruins and the looting suffered in the past, the monastic complex boasts impressive restorations and the unique beauty of its church.

The monastery of Sant Quirze de Colera's origins are unclear, but according to documentary evidence, it was active in the 8th century. The church, which has three naves and a transept together with cloister ruins, defensive features, and outbuildings, is the most important building of the whole complex.
