Chapel of Our Lady in Clairefontaine

The chapel of Our Lady in Clairefontaine is a religious building located four kilometres from Arlon town and built by the Jesuits in 1875.

About this building

Statues of Our Lady of Clairefontaine and Saint Bernard were erected on the place of worship and the sarcophagus of Eresinde of Luxembourg lies in the crypt benath the chapel. The building contains ten stained glass windows that illustrate the Cistercian, Luxembourgish and Jesuit traditions. The remains of the former Abbey of Notre-Dame de Clairefontaine are located nearby.
