The church of San Marziale is said to have been founded in the 9th century and rebuilt in 1133 on the initiative of the Bocchi family. In poor condition in the 17th century, the church was rebuilt in Baroque style between 1693 and 1721, the year of its re-consecration.
The church of Santa Fosca was founded around the 10th century and has undergone various interventions. Its present appearance dates back to the reconstruction of the first half of the 18th century. The current façade was built between 1733 and 1741. The project is by the architect Domenico Rossi with a simple scheme.
The church of Santa Maria Maddalena, usually called La Maddalena, was built between 1763 and 1790 on an old medieval church. The new neoclassical church was built on a circular plan, according to the design of Tommaso Temanza. The work was completed in 1790 under the direction of Giannantonio Selva. In 1888 the bell tower, which was already unsafe, was pulled down.
Santa Maria della Misericordia is a deconsecrated Catholic church built in 936 as an abbey church. The church was enlarged in the 13th century and the façade, designed by the Bolognese architect Clemente Moli, was added during the reconstruction of 1651-59, financed by the philosopher Gasparo Moro, whose bust sculpted by Moli appears above the door. The convent was in a sad state and collapsed, so it was demolished in the early 19th century. The last mass was celebrated in the church on 17 August 1967.
