Chiesa di Santa Maria in Silvis

The church of Santa Maria Assunta was first mentioned in 1410 and in the second half of the 18th century, it was decided to build a new parish church in the centre of the village to replace the old one. The project for the new church, drawn up by Antonio Marchetti, was submitted on 16 September 1769, while the foundation stone was laid on 29 September 1769. The church was completed in 1798 and consecrated on 24 September 1881. The building was renovated between 1981 and 1983.

The church of Santa Maria della Neve was built in the second half of the 15th century. In 1588, at the request of St. Charles Borromeo, the Augustinian friars took over the church and built a convent next door. The façade of the church is very simple, decorated with polychrome rhombuses. The sober portal, made of red sandstone, is decorated on the pillars with candelabras and has the image of two saints' heads on the architrave - as well as the monogram of the Bernardins.

The Basilica of Santa Maria in Valvendra was built between 1473 and 1483, on an imposing artificial terrace. Its construction was commissioned by the rich woolen cloth producers of Lovere. The church was carefully restored between 1990 and 2014. The basilica and the adjoining convent, now the Cesare Battisti National Boarding School, were run for centuries by the Franciscan Friars Minor of the Observance.
