This church was built in 1896, in the place of a previous wooden church. The constructors of the church were done on donations of the community of Dobrotov. The roof of the church is covered with tin and the walls have a unique design with painted boards.
According to the memorial book of Nadvirna, before WWII the tombstones from the period of the Khmelnitsky uprising (1648-49) were still preserved in the Jewish cemetery, which may indicate a Jewish presence in the middle of the 17th century. The site is maintained annually by the ESJF and supported by the Nadworna Shtetl Research Group.
The exact period of the cemetery’s establishment is unknown. The oldest gravestone relates to the mid-19th century, so it can be assumed that the cemetery emerged during that period. First, it appears on Austrian maps of the 1880s and later on Polish maps of 1939.
The Tempel in Ivano-Frankivsk is an Ashkenazi synagogue built between 1894 and 1899 by the architect Wilhelm Stiassny. The synagogue has been restored after 1945 and in 2008. This Neo-Moorish brick building still serves as a synagogue.
