Church of the Immaculate Conception, Spytkowice

The Church of the Immaculate Conception is a log construction dating from 1758. It is one of the typical wooden churches of the Małopolska province in southern Poland.

About this building

The curious thing about this church is that it does not have a tower or spire. Instead, it has a wooden tower separate from the main building at the entrance to the enclosure.

The most important works of art in the church include a painting of the Crucifixion from 1619, a statue of the Risen Christ from the 18th century, and a late-Baroque pulpit.
