Church of Notre-Dame-de-l'Assomption, Pailherols

At the beginning of the 16th century, a peddler is said to have brought back from Cahors a statue of the Virgin for his wife who disappeared and reappeared several times near a rose hip bush where this church was built.

About this building

Church with an elongated plan, consisting of a single nave leading to a square-shaped choir (semi-dome). The whole is vaulted with cross vaults and the pulpit that precedes the choir is dedicated to Our Lady of the Assumption.
