Church of Saint Ayoul
This impressive church is a mixture of different styles and periods. Today desacralized, it is the testimony of the religious history of the city. Visitors can enter the church through a sublime porch, whose tympanum and vaults bear witness to the magnificence of Gothic architecture.
About this building
Rectangular building. This church is in fact a former priory. It therefore houses a cloister, a chapter house, and no less than three chapels. It contains several objects of furniture that are just as impressive as its architecture, such as numerous statues, paintings, the organ dating from 1777 and an altarpiece by Pierre Blasset, dating from the 17th century.
