Church of Saint-Pierre-et-Saint-Phébade
The church is in the typical style of the region, not failing to embellish the landscape with the red brick that makes it up. The eight-century old building also has the particularity of having a carillon with 14 bells since 1844.
About this building
The first mention of the church dates back to the year 817. Construction of the Romanesque building at the beginning of the 12th century. In the 15th and 16th centuries, the choir was raised and the construction of the vaults of the nave and aisle began. The main phases of the elevation began with the construction of the stone chevet in the 12th century, fortified in the 13th century with its covered walkways and restored in the 19th century. " The church contains a religious treasure dating from the 13th century: the reliquary of St. Phebade and that of St. Alberte. In 1893, the choir was painted by Augé.
