The Church of St Demetrius is a medieval monastery church near the town of Boboshevo.
During Ottoman rule, the monastery that once stood on this site remained an important centre of education and manuscript writing. It provided shelter to famous Bulgarian Saint Ivan Rilski (John of Rila). The church preserves frescoes from the 15th century.
The mosque welcomed its long-waited renovation in 2018 and had been declared as a monument of local significance.
Located on Gotse Delchev Square in the northern part of the city, this mosque from the 19th century is now a historical monument.
Located in the central part of the town, the abandoned mosque was named after the the Ottoman Sultan Mehmed II, known by his nickname "el-Fatih" (the Conqueror).
