St. Gereon is one of the twelve main Romanesque churches in Cologne and one of its oldest churches. In its center, traces of a central building dating from the second half of the 4th century can be found.
St. Aposteln is a Roman Catholic church of a pure Rhenish Romanesque style. It was built in the 11th century during the Ottonian Renaissance.
The Roonstraße Synagogue in Köln is an Ashkenazi synagogue completed in 1899, restored in 1959. This Neo-Romanesque stone building still serves as a synagogue.
