The Fabric Synagogue in Timişoara is a Neologist synagogue built in 1899 by the architect Lippòt Baumhorn (1860-1932). This Hungarian Secessionist brick building still serves as a synagogue.

Metropolitan Cathedral

The Metropolitan Cathedral of Timisoara was built between 1936 and 1941 and is a symbol of the city. This gigantic project was led by Ioan Traianescu, the architect of many other major Orthodox churches in Romania. The construction of the cathedral, which has a capacity of 5,000 people, is part of an effort to promote Orthodoxy on the territory.
