The first church in Alatornio was built on the present site, perhaps as early as the beginning of the 13th century. It is known for sure that a wooden church was present at the latest in 1316. In its present form, the church of Alatornio was built in 1794-1797, the eastern nave is still a medieval stone church from the 16th century.

Alatri Cathedral was built in several phases during the Middle Ages, on the ruins of an ancient temple dedicated to Saturn. The present façade and bell tower were added by Jacopo Subleyras between 1790 and 1808, and in 1884 the attic and tympanum were added.

Alba Cathedral was built between 1486 and 1517 and has elements of Romanesque and Gothic style. Of the old church, which already existed in the 11th century, only the bell tower, the three portals, the façade portico and the crypt have been preserved; the other parts, which were unsafe, have been demolished. During the 18th and 19th centuries, the cathedral underwent consolidation restorations and was equipped with new altars and chapels.

The Cathedral of Albacete was built from 1515 on the site of a former Mudejar parish church, according to a project by the architects Enrique Egas, Pedro de Echevarría and Ortín Pérez. In 1538, Diego de Siloe modified the style, which became Renaissance, particularly with the columns designed by Jerónimo Quijano, but the replacement of the columns caused the vaults to fall, interrupting the construction, which was not completed until 1690, by the architect Gregorio Díaz de Palacios. The façade was not completed until 1949, while a final restoration (2009) consolidated the columns and vaults.

The Cathedral of Albano was consecrated in 1721 but is located on the site of an older basilica, dedicated to St. John the Baptist, founded by Constantine I (4th century). Pope Leo III (750-816) built a new cathedral on the site and changed the dedication to Pancras of Rome.

Albarracín Cathedral was built between 1572 and 1600 on the remains of an old Romanesque church built at the end of the 12th century. It was designed by the architects Martín de Castañeda and the French architect Quinto Pierres Vedel. At the beginning of the 18th century, the interior of the church was refurbished with Baroque elements, such as the pilasters, which are still preserved today.

It was built over two centuries, from 1282 to 1480, with notable complications such as a fire destroying the roof in the 14th century. The interior is richly decorated with paintings from the late 15th / early 16th century. In the 18th century, the façade threatened to collapse and was rebuilt. Its impressive dimensions make Albi Cathedral the largest brick cathedral in the world.
