Storekalsøy church is a working church, built in 1976 on a previous church that burned down in the same year. The building, designed by architect Einar Vaardal-Lunde, is made of wood and is inspired by stave churches.

The Storetveit Church, dating from 1930, was designed by architect Ole Landmark and built in natural stone with Gothic details. The church is block-shaped with an octagonal choir. The sacristy and chapel buildings are arranged across the main direction. The interior is raised by a plastered brick inner wall and woodwork with Gothic details.

The Storfjord church, commonly known as Bjørke church, was built by Sivert and Edvard Gjerdsdal in 1919 - 1920. The decoration was made by Johan Haddal. The altarpiece was made by Arne Kinsarvik and Karl Straume in 1919.

The "Great Church", or St. Nicholas Church, was founded in the 13th century by the supposed founder of Stockholm, Birger Jarl. The brick gothic church was first consacrated catholic, but it became a Lutheran in 1527, and finally turned into a cathedral for the Church of Sweden in 1942. Since the 14th century, this church has been used for royal crowds and weddings.

The cemetery was existing at least from the year 1865, evident from the dating of the oldest tombstone found by the ESJF expedition. It was active until 1941.

Storsteinnes chapel is a wooden church from 1968. The chapel was designed by the Armed Forces' district engineer Northern Norway, who also designed the Heggelia chapel in Målselv at the same time.
