This large, cruciform church suffered bomb damage on 14th July 1943 when two bombs dropped into the churchyard, destroying the north wall of the transept and damaging most of the glass.

Gunwen Methodist Church was built 1869. Gunwen is not our easiest church to find. It lies two miles north of Luxulyan adjacent to Breney Common Nature Reserve and looks towards Helman Tor. It's lovely country for a picnic.

The Hackney and East London Synagogue in London was completed in 1897 by architects Delissa Joseph and Cecil Eprile. The synagogue was rebuilt in 1936. This Art Deco brick building was sold in 2009 to the Brasilian Pentacostalist church.
