The church of the village with the ekklesionym Agios Loukas is located on the western edge of the village centre, and dates back to the 16th century. It has been converted into a mosque.

The Agios Loukas church is located east of the old village centre; approx. 400m east of the Timos Prodromos church.

The church with the ekklesionym Agios Mamas was built in 1858 and is located in the northern part of the village centre. In 1975, the church has been converted into a mosque.

The Cathedral of St. Minas is an Orthodox Cathedral located in Heraklion and is the seat of the Archbishop of Crete. It began to be built in 1862, but its construction was interrupted during the Cretan Revolution of 1866 and was finally completed in early 1895.

The Agios Minas church is located in the eastern part of Lapithos; approx. 1km east of the of the Timos Prodromos church.

This is one of the few remaining post-Byzantine churches on the island of Mykonos.

The church with the ekklesionym Agios Nikolaos was built in 1876, and is located on the northern edge of the old village centre at the access road from Karavas. The bell is still in the bell tower (which obviously was added on the southwestern edge of the roof at a later stage) and the cross on top is intact. The building itself is in a good condition.

Agios Nikolaos tis Stegis is one of the painted churches of the Troodos Mountains. It has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1985.

The church of the village is part of the monastic complex of Agios Panteleimonas. The monastery was founded at the beginning of the 18th century and became seat of the Bishop of Kyrenia (until 1917). According to Ioannis G. Kassinis the present church was built in the 18th century on the site of a smaller church. The area is fenced and locked.
