The first construction of the church dates back to 1016, but it did not take its final shape until the end of the 12th century, when the choir and transept were erected as they are now. The rest of the building collapsed for lack of maintenance in 1727 and was rebuilt in 1734.

The collegiate church of Saint-André is a remarkably homogeneous building founded in the 13th century by André Dauphin, Count of Viennois. Today a simple parish church, the collegiate church has housed the tomb of the famous Dauphin knight Pierre Terrail de Bayard, known as the "Bayard knight", since 24 August 1822 in the north transept.

The collegiate church of Saint-Martin in Brive is an 11th-century collegiate church. It was built on an early Christian building from the end of the 5th century. Enlarged, this collegiate church was managed from the end of the 11th century by a college of canons who adopted the rule of Saint Augustine. The priory of Brive seems to have served as a support point for the bishop of Limoges against the abbeys of Beaulieu, Uzerche and Tulle. The cloister was destroyed in 1764, then during the Revolution, the conventual buildings were acquired by the town and destroyed in 1835.

Collégiale Saint-Omer, the Romanesque church, built 900 years ago has massive exterior architecture which giving way to an interior architecture which is light and harmonious.

Église Catholique Collégiale Saint-Pierre d'Aire-sur-la-Lys has been a parish church since 1802.

Collegiate Saint-Pierre is located in Tonquédec, in Brittany. The oldest parts of the building date back to the fifteenth century, and the bell tower was added in the eighteenth century. The church was erected as a collegiate church in the 15th century by Jean de Ploeuc, bishop of Tréguier. The collegiate church was later restored several times, notably in the 19th century. Inside, there is a remarkable fifteenth century canopy, composed of 16 stained glass windows.

The church was originally a Romanesque church built to house a college of twelve canons regular, founded in 1061 and 1078 by the Count of Aquitaine, William VI.

The collegiate church of Sant'Andrea dates back to the 12th century. During the 14th century, the church underwent works that changed its appearance: the nave was rebuilt and enlarged, chapels and the transept were built and the church was enlarged to its present dimensions.
