The monastery of Doberan is a former Cistercian abbey founded in 1171. The church of its monastery is Doberan Cathedral. Until the Reformation, the monastery had extensive properties and was the burial place of the Principality of Mecklenburg. After surviving relatively unscathed from secularisation, the monastery was looted and damaged in 1637 during the Thirty Years' War, and the monastery church was then used as a warehouse. During the French occupation by Napoleon (1806-1813), the remaining buildings suffered further damage and the monastery church was again used as a warehouse. Between 1883 and 1896, the church was restored and the interior design was unified in neo-gothic forms while retaining most of the medieval furniture. Restoration began in 1962 and continued inside the church in 1976.

Dobrićevo Monastery is a Serbian Orthodox monastery in the village of Orah.

Dobrilugk Monastery was a Cistercian abbey founded on 1 May 1165, the day of King Sigismund of Burgundy, and was therefore dedicated to Saints Sigismund and Henry. It existed until its dissolution during the Reformation. Although the son of Emperor Ferdinand I was able to regain dominion of the monastery during the Schmalkalde War (1546-1547) and reintegrate it into Lower Lusatia, the Catholic ruler did not allow other monks to enter the monastery. Today's Doberlug Castle was built on its grounds after the end of clerical life in the middle of the 17th century.

Dochiariou Monastery is one of the 20 self-governing Eastern Orthodox monasteries in Mount Athos. It is ranked tenth in the Athonite, the hierarchical order of the twenty monasteries on Mount Athos.

The synagogue on Dohany Street is the largest neologistic synagogue in Europe and a symbol for Hungarian Jews. The building was constructed between 1854 and 1859 and was one of the first synagogues to be built in the Moorish style. The synagogue was renovated in 1929-1931 and 1991-1996, after decades of neglect under the Hungarian communist regime. During the Second World War, the synagogue was located in the heart of the Budapest ghetto. The synagogue complex now includes a museum and a memorial for Hungarian Jewish soldiers of World War I. The synagogue on Dohany Street is one of the few synagogues to house an organ. It hosts classical music concerts and serves as a venue for various festivals.

The most important part of the building was erected during the 13th century and required more than sixty years of work. Because of its geographical position, it will adopt the Norman and English practices of religious construction. Charm of the mixture of Romanesque and Gothic styles, charm of the contrast with a luminous interior with splendid glass windows. The choir is surrounded by 10 rectangular-shaped chapels, which shows a strong English influence.

The Dollis Hill Synagogue in London is an Ashkenazi synagogue built in 1936-38 by architect Evan Owen Williams. This concrete building now serves as an educational Institution.

Dolm Church is a stone church from the late Middle Ages. The church has been badly exposed to storms and lightning, and it has burned several times, most recently in 1920.
