The Sacred Heart Church is a Catholic church that was built between 1897 and 1898 by the architect Christoph Hehl. At the end of the 19th century, the urban expansion of Berlin necessitated the construction of new places of worship. As the future district of Prenzlauer Berg was not very dense, the only notable pre-existing buildings were windmills and inns. One of these inns was purchased in 1890 by the parish of St. Hedwig to build a chapel, together with the adjacent presbytery and a Catholic school.

Herz-Jesu-Kirche was built in the years 1997 to 2000 according to the plans of the Munich Allmann Sattler Wappner architectural office. The modern building is located on an old church, burned down in 1994, itself a replacement for a church destroyed during the Second World War. Herz-Jesu-Kirche is one of the most visited churches in Munich.

The Herøy church is a stone church from the 12th century. The church has a rectangular nave, a tower to the west and a lower, narrower choir with a semicircular end, apse. At the end of the Middle Ages the nave fell into ruin and was shortened to the west, but in 1879 the nave was extended twice and the church was given a tower to the west. Around 1960 the church was renovated under the direction of architect John Tverdahl.

Hesby Church is a medieval stone church, built in the 13th century. The church originally had a sturdy west tower, but this was demolished around 1800. The stones protruding from the outside of the west wall are visible traces of this tower. In 1870, the church was given a new porch, with an entrance portal built of recycled stone from the old south portal of the nave. The sacristy was built in 1960.

The Hessdalen church was built in the transition period between the 1930s and 1940s and was only officially consecrated in 1949. Part of the inventory was taken from the former Stave church, which was demolished after the completion of the present church in Ålen. It consists of the altarpiece from the 17th century and the pulpit from 1705.
