Irsina Cathedral is said to have been rebuilt after a fire in the Romanesque style in 988; it was again rebuilt and enlarged after a sack in 1133. The church was substantially modified in the Baroque style in the 18th century and consecrated in 1802. Only the bell tower, in addition to the Romanesque crypt, has retained its original appearance, Romanesque in the lower part and Gothic in the upper part, with mullioned windows and hanging arches. A major restoration, which lasted over a year, was completed in early 2016.

Founded in the 13th century, the Isenhagen Monastery was built at its present location from 1345 to 1350. Initially a Cistercian monastery, it became Protestant with the introduction of the Reformation in 1540. This Gothic brick building underwent a change at the beginning of the 18th century when the south and west wings of the monastery were demolished and from 1723 to 1726 a reconstruction in Baroque half-timbered style was carried out.

Its present appearance is the result of numerous interventions carried out either after the numerous earthquakes or as a result of projects to restructure the building. Its present appearance is the result of the neoclassical restoration carried out on the orders of Bishop Gennaro Saladino in the second half of the 19th century.

Ishak Çelebi Mosque is an Ottoman mosque that was built in 1506 by the city's Qadi, Ishak Çelebi. The mosque has a single dome and was enlarged in the 19th century by encroaching on its porch, which thus became a space for prayer. The mosque is also distinguished by its large upper wooden gallery, whose balcony was built by the French in 1912. The wall paintings, which were damaged during the Second World War, were partly rebuilt by Italian masters.

The Iske-Tash Mosque was built in 1802, supposedly on the site of the mass grave of the soldiers who defended Kazan against the troops of Ivan the Terrible in 1552. In 1830, the mosque was rebuilt in the Classicist style. Closed in the 1930s, the mosque was used as a school and then as a warehouse during the Soviet period. In 1994, the mosque was returned to the believers.
