The Rochus Chapel was built in 1592-93 by the town's master builder, Jerg Loßher, and dedicated to St. Rochus. The interior of the chapel consists of a lightly vaulted wooden ceiling with 66 painted panels dating from 1598.

The Rock-hewn Churches of Ivanovo is a complex of small medieval rock churches, chapels and cells, carved at different heights in the cliffs of the picturesque canyon of the river Rusenski Lom. These caves were dug as hermitages during a period running from the 10th century to the 15th century, turning the river valley and its tributaries into a Bulgarian spiritual centre. The Rock-hewn Churches of Ivanovo, with their extremely well-preserved murals, are a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

The church in Rokke is a medieval long stone church. The interior was extensively repaired in the 17th century, but in 1886 all the furnishings, except for the altarpiece, were removed. The only medieval inventory that remains is a statue of Olav and the three saint figures on the upper part of the altarpiece.

Rolduc Abbey is a former abbey from the 12th century, which is said to have been founded in 1104 by Pastor Ailbertus van Antoing. In addition to the abbey church, the vast complex includes an abbey building in Mosan Renaissance style (abbey wing and water tower, 1671), an 18th-century Baroque abbey wing, the monastery farm dating largely from the 18th century and other economic buildings. The crypt of the abbey church is famous for its 12th century carved capitals, which are among the highlights of Mosan art. The Romanesque columns themselves, sometimes spiral-shaped or decorated with zigzag patterns, are of great beauty.

Rollag Stave church was probably built after 1250, but it is difficult to establish an exact dating. Little remains of the original Stave church.

Rolvsøy Church in Fredrikstad dates back to 1908. The church was designed by architect Gustav Guldbrandsen. The architect gave the church a neo-Romanesque style.

Roma Church is one of the 92 medieval churches on the island of Gotland.

The priory Romainmôtier was built on the oldest Romanesque building in Switzerland, a monastery of the 5th century. The current building was built from 990 to 1028 as a Cluniac abbey. From the sixteenth century and the spread of Protestantism, the priory lost considerable importance and was partially abandoned. Restored in the 20th century, the priory is now a Protestant church.

The consecration of the Church of Jesus the Merciful took place on October 10, 2009 as part of the celebration of the 10th anniversary of the Vitebsk diocese. The liturgy, during which the consecration took place, was led by the Apostolic Nuncio to Belarus, Archbishop Martin Vidovich.

The church was built in the years 1887???1897 on the site of a wooden church of the same name, which was moved to the post-cemetery square at 22 Ogrodowa Street (after the transfer it is called Saint Joseph). The designer of the temple in the Vistula-Baltic style was Konstanty Wojciechowski, and nearly half of the costs of its construction and equipment were covered by ??ud?? manufacturers of various denominations, who occupied high positions in the nineteenth-century textile industry.
