The golden-domed monastery of St. Michael is the cathedral of the Ukrainian Orthodox Church. Built in 1108-1113, the building was rebuilt in a Baroque style in the 18th century. Demolished by the soviets, the church did not reopen before 1999.

St Michael's Church was built between 1851 and 1859 and is, together with St Edwige's Cathedral (1743-1777), the oldest Catholic church in Berlin. King Frederick William IV of Prussia authorised the construction of a second Catholic church in Berlin as a garrison church for Catholic soldiers, dedicated to St Michael, the patron saint of the army. On 3 February 1945, an Anglo-American air raid completely destroyed the Luisenstadt district and the church burned down. The nave is still without a roof and worship takes place in the transept.

The Protestant town church of St. Michael was built from 1380 on top of a former Romanesque church. The choir, the choir vault, the three eastern bays of the nave and the southern facade up to the sixth bay of the nave were built first. After a break of about 30 years, the nave was completed in a second construction phase from 1474 to 1557 and the bell tower was erected. In the 17th century, several repairs were made to the church building. During the Second World War, the town church was severely damaged. In the post-war years, until 1956, the interior with octagonal pillars and a star-shaped vault was rebuilt under the direction of the Jena architect Hans Schlag.

The church "Saint Mina" was built between 1995 and 1997 according to the plans of the architect Nicolae Goga and is an imitation of the traditional style of Maramures. The furniture of the church was entirely carved in wood. The painting that covers it was done by the Bucharest painter, George Sorin Nicolae.

A chapel dedicated to Willibrord was founded in 1897, but it became too small for the growing amount of churchgoers when De Haan developed into an important seaside resort. The construction of a new, fully-fledged church was completed in 1902. This church soon became too small as well. Therefore, a new transept and choir were built in 1934.

The church of St. Moritz was built in the 15th century on the remains of a Romanesque church first built in the 11th century. In the second half of the 19th century, the church was completely restored and an attempt was made to enlarge the two neo-Gothic towers on the west façade.

St. Naum Monastery is a monastery built from the 10th century in Byzantine architecture. It was founded by St. Naum of Preslav (830-910), a disciple of Saints Cyril and Methodius. In the 16th century, during the Ottoman occupation, new buildings were constructed on the foundations of the original building. However, a part of them was destroyed in a fire in 1875.

St. Nicholas Cathedral is an Orthodox church first mentioned in the 16th century. It changed its location at the beginning of the 19th century and was rebuilt in 1835. In 1892-94, the wooden church of the time was replaced by a new stone building. In Soviet times the church was closed and in 1964 it was converted into a swimming pool. In 2003, the entire church building was handed over to the faithful.

St. Nicholas Cathedral is an Orthodox cathedral built between 1902 and 1903, designed by Vyborg master-builder Aleksander Isakson. The façade is plastered and painted to look like red brick, although there is real brick under the plaster. In appearance, it looks like garrison churches made of red brick at the same time.
