The Sulitjelma church is a long typical wooden church, characterized by the neo-gothic and Swiss style. The building was prefabricated by the Thambs company in Namsos. The church is part of the disused and listed mining complex of Sulitjelma, a link which is highlighted by the fact that the symbol of the Sulitjelma company, an S with a hammer and copper, is displayed above the entrance door of the church.

Sulmona Cathedral was first mentioned in the 12th century. The church was seriously damaged for the first time in the earthquake of 1456. After the earthquake of 1706, it was seriously damaged and rebuilt in Baroque style, some elements of which are still visible today, despite recent restoration work. The original plan, the lower part of the façade and the Gothic crypt have also been preserved.

The last major repair and restoration of this 15th century mosque was financed by Turkey in 2017. The frescoes have been restored in accordance with the period of construction of the mosque, so as to contribute to the calm interior atmosphere.

Sultan Eyüp's Mosque was founded in 1458-59 and rebuilt in 1800. The minarets of the mosque, which were repaired several times after 1458, were replaced by new long minarets in 1733. The minaret on the sea side was rebuilt in 1823 because it was damaged by lightning.

Sultan Murad's Mosque is an Ottoman mosque built in 1436. It was named after Sultan Murat II (1421-1444) but is sometimes simply called "Hunkar Mosque" ("Imperial Mosque") or "Clock Mosque" because of its proximity to the Clock Tower in Skopje. The site originally formed a complex with a madrasah and an imaret, which is now in ruins.

Sund Church is a church built at the end of the 13th century or at the latest before 1310 and dedicated to John the Baptist. The church tower was probably built in the late 14th century, but the sacristy was not by the mid 15th century. The wall paintings date from the early 14th century. The church was severely damaged by a fire in 1672 and 1921. The church bells were destroyed in both fires.

Sund Church is a fan-shaped church from 1997, designed by the architect Peder A. Ristesund. A stave church seems to have existed here as early as 1327. After the demolition of this church, a long church was built in 1674. From 1725 the church was in private ownership for a century and a half. When it became the property of the parish again in 1870, the church was rebuilt in the neo-gothic style. The church burnt down in 1994.

Sund's church in Sund , Åland is dedicated to John the Baptist and is located in Sund-Vårdö parish . The church is Åland's largest stone church and it shows a clear Gotland influence.
