The new Parish Church was built to the west of the southern access road. The year of construction is not known, but it was probably built around the middle of the 20th century. After 1974, the church was converted into a mosque.

The small cemetery chapel was left to its own devices for many years and, like the Greek Orthodox cemetery surrounding the chapel, was completely dilapidated. A few years ago, a Turkish-Cypriot businessman commissioned the restoration of the entire area. Today, the small chapel is in good condition again, as is the cemetery. The entire area is permanently maintained.

The Agios Georgios church in Athens is a nineteenth-century reconstruction of a medieval temple. The Greek-Byzantine style of the temple is typical of the reign of Otto I (1832-1862) during which the temple was rebuilt after being destroyed during the Revolution of 1821.
