The synagogue was originally built in 1730 and is now newly renovated and in liturgical use again. The synagogue consists of a prayer hall, precentor quarters, and bathhouse. A small 18th century building next to the Synagogue, which was the home of a Jewish family until about 1850, is used today for the museum galleries.

Naustvik has been a place of worship since the Middle Ages and there must have been a Stave church which in 1661 was described as dilapidated. The present church was built in 1674 from lathed wood and the exterior is covered with a table panel painted red. The church was renovated in 1885-86, major repairs were also carried out around 1950, and a final restoration was completed in 1969-74.

Veljushki Monastery is said to have been built in the 11th century. With its architectural design originally preserved to the present day, it represents one of the great achievements of medieval Byzantine architecture and sacred art on the Macedonian territory. The frescoes in the church were made in three periods: 1085 (in the altar, the space of the dome in the nave and the walls, the conches, and the chapel), 1164 (in the porch), 19th century (in the nave).

Velletri Cathedral was, according to tradition, a former basilica of the Roman town hall, which was transformed into a Christian church in the 5th century. In the 13th century the church underwent a major renovation with the construction of the polygonal exterior apse and the underground chapel containing the relics of St Eleutheran and St Pontian. The main entrance of the cathedral with its façade was incorporated into the construction of the Bishop's Seminary in the 17th century. In 1950, damaged by the war, the cathedral was restored to a design by the architect Giuseppe Zander.

Presumably, the Jewish Cemetery in Velyki Lazy was established during the 19th century. The oldest gravestone dates from 1877, and the latest one to 1938. The remaining Jews of Velyki Lazy were deported to Auschwitz in late May 1944. No Jews live in the town today.
