On the Maihaugen is the only preserved medieval log house in Norway, called Fiskerkapellet (Fishing chapel). According to an inscription on one of the logs, the chapel was consecrated and founded in 1459. After the Reformation, the chapel was used as a warehouse for the rectory in Fåberg before it was bought in 1897 by Anders Sandvig.

The church of Starm of Garmo, part of the Maihaugen Open Air Museum, dates from about 1021. The present church was probably built around 1200, then enlarged with notably a bell tower (1690) and cross arms in the roof (1730).
The Lillehammer church is a long monumental church completed in 1882 by the architect H.Thrap-Meyer. The brick church is well preserved on the outside and has neo-gothic forms. The interior is strongly influenced by the renovation of 1959.
The Søre Ål church is built of concrete and wood according to Bjarne B's drawings. Ellefsen. The church is a long church with a ridge roof to the west. The church has large roof areas with shingles, while the ridge is covered with copper. The concrete parts of the end walls have reliefs in simple lines on the outside and inside of the church.
