Fister Church

The Fister Church was built in 1867 according to the drawings of Hans Ditlev Franciscus von Linstow. The church has older furniture dating from the 17th century. An old church existed from 1604 until the construction of the new church in 1867.

Årdal Church

The church was built between 1914 and 1916 with funds collected from Årdal residents who had emigrated to the USA. The ministry had previously rejected an application to build a new church, nor had it approved the fact that the church was in use at the time of its completion. Approval did not come until 1919. Major restoration in 1968.

Old Årdal Church

The old church in Årdal dates from 1619, but only the nave dates from this period. A new choir was built in 1626, integrated into the nave when a new choir was built again in 1703. The tower building to the west was replaced by a new tower in 1704-06.
