The marble church, or Frederiks Kirke, was built between 1749 and 1894. Ironically enough for this Evangelical Lutheran church, the Rococo style building was modeled on St. Peter's Basilica.

St. Ansgar's Cathedral in Copenhagen was consecrated in 1842 and is one of the masterpieces of architect G.F. Hetsch, a mixture of Romanesque and Classicist styles. At the time of the church's consecration, the Roman Catholic faith was still officially banned in Denmark. The construction of the church seven years before the ban was lifted was due to the fact that the land had belonged to Austria since 1774. Since 1953, Sankt Ansgar Church in Copenhagen has been the Catholic Cathedral for all Catholics in the Kingdom of Denmark.
St. Alban's English Church is the only Anglican church in Denmark. The building was built in 1885-1887 in neo-Gothic style.
Holmens Kirke is a church dedicated to the Navy. The building was built in 1563 as an anchor forge and was converted in 1619 into a church.
